Britney Spears has had an abortion.
Just over a month after she and fianc Sam Asgari announced they were expecting their first child, the couple released a joint statement on Instagram confirming the worst:
They lost this baby.
“We are deeply saddened to announce that we lost our miraculous baby early in pregnancy,” the couple wrote in a post on Saturday.
“It’s a devastating time for any parent. Perhaps we should have waited for the announcement to come, but we were too excited to share the good news.”
“Our love for each other is our strength. We will continue to strive to expand our beautiful family. We are grateful for all your support.
“We kindly ask for privacy in this difficult moment.”
After sharing the photo above on his official Instagram account, Spears wrote as a caption:
“We are grateful for what we have in the process of expanding our beautiful family. Thank you for your support. “
On April 11, when she confirmed that she was pregnant, Britney played a much more optimistic and excited tone.
“I lost so much weight on my Maui trip just to get it back … I thought ‘Giz … what happened to my stomach ???'” Britney explained a few weeks ago, adding:
“My husband said, ‘No, you’re a pregnant food fool !!!’ So I had a pregnancy test… and uhhhhh well… I’m having a baby. “
The artist has already shared with Shawn Preston, 16, and Jaden, 15, ex-husband Kevin Federlin.
But this was Asgari’s first child.
“Marriage and children are a normal part of a strong relationship filled with love and respect,” the 28-year-old wrote on social media after her fianc announced her pregnancy.
“Fatherhood is something I always look forward to and I do not take lightly. That’s the decent thing to do, and it should end there. “
The couple began dating in 2016 after meeting on the set of the singer’s “Slumber Party” music video.
They were engaged in September 2021, two months before Spears’ guardianship officially ended and she was free from her father’s legal control.
As part of the testimony that Spears testified last summer in an attempt to free herself from this 13-year-old conservatism, Brittany has spoken openly about her desire to expand her immediate family.
He told a judge that his father had made it impossible.
“I want to be able to get married and have a baby.
“I was just told in the conservatism, I can’t get married or have children,” the star complained at the time.
Britney adds this same topic:
“I have an IUD inside now so I am not pregnant. I wanted to get the IUD out so I could start trying to have another baby.
“But this so-called group will not let me go to the doctor because they do not want me to have children – no more children.”
We extend our heartfelt condolences to Brittany and Sam at this heartbreaking time.
