Seeking Sister Wife Season 4 continues this week.
The premiere featured two returning families and a trio of new families, but many viewers focused on who was not on screen.
In particular, these viewers were immediately surprised, what happened to Dimitri and Ashley Snowden?!?
The couple was featured in the first three seasons of Seeking Sister Wife, as they shared three children and an unusual view of the relationship:
Dimitri and Ashley were never married.
Moreover, they did not pretend to be looking for a sister for religious reasons.
Instead, they jump on the bandwagon about spirituality and how it is applied in this case; And Dimitri even tried to argue at one point that polygamy is the empowerment of nature for women.
At first, Dimitri and Ashley are engaged to a woman named Jocelyn – but after he and Dimitri have established a relationship (before the marriage, which was against Ashley’s claim), the Snowden go ahead.
In Season 2, Ashley and Dimitri invite Vanessa Cobbs to accompany them.
Although he broke up with Dimitri, Cobbs wrote the following on Instagram in April 2019:
“I love Ashley, Dimitri and the kids a lot and will always do that.
“However, my love and commitment to them overshadowed my love and commitment to myself. I have not been truly honest with myself until recently.
“I was ignoring my inner instruction which told me that I am not attached to them that they need me. I know now that you love someone (or a family), does not mean that you are meant to be with them.
“Sometimes their long-established dynamics are inconsistent with your own personal growth and the way forward.”
Sounds rather innocent and friendly, doesn’t it?
Two years later, however, Cobbs dismissed Dimitri as a liar in need of professional help.
He did so in the wake of some serious damaging allegations against both Snowdens.
In Season 3 of Seeking Sister Weaves, Dimitri and Ashley Taylor tried their shady fortune with Middleton and Christine “Chrissy” Petersen, and Dimitri even exchanged legal vows with the latter.
Just a few months after the union, however, Peterson filed for a restraining order, claiming that Dimitri had assaulted him on multiple occasions.
According to legal documents, Petersen said in January last year that Dmitry once “woke him up by hitting my head on the headboard of the bed and he was yelling at me.”
He then lodged a complaint with the police.
He asserted that his confession had been obtained through torture, and that his confession had been obtained through torture.
Similarly, Petersen said Ashley was physically abused in early 2021, complaining that she “pushed me to stop me from leaving my husband’s house and I shared with him.”
“He also threw a bottle at me. He verbally abused me and called me by name.”
Dmitry filed for divorce from Peterson in May 2021.
According to court documents, in the ongoing process, they were declared legally unmarried in March 2022, although their divorce has not yet been finalized.
She wrote on social media last June that TLC should cancel the Seeking Sister Wife because of Dimitri’s heinous and seemingly illegal actions.
A month later, Ashley announced that she had separated from Dimitri.
“My truth, because misinformation is harmful: I’m lonely and grateful for life,” Ashley wrote in a deleted Instagram post in July 2021.
The former reality star continues as follows:
Having said that, I would like to share some tips that can make this world a better place for everyone, especially those who are experiencing trauma:
“Avoid asking personal questions to people you don’t know personally. If someone doesn’t share personal information, they probably don’t want to talk about it, or ever will.”
“And that’s okay! You’ll survive, but you have no idea how hard they are trying to survive.”
And then he came to the conclusion:
If you are genuinely concerned about the well-being of someone, or think they are behaving abnormally, contact them personally or ask someone you know if they are nearby for help.
If you can’t go to them personally, 9x out of 10, it’s nothing in your business.
It may sound harsh, but you think it’s even harder to harass people for information they hate because you’re curious, when it has nothing to do with you.
